From: Office of the president
To : Chairman and members of the Board
Date: July 20, 2007
The Executive leadership and the Board of the Liberian Mandingo Association of Pennsylvania (LIMAP) met last Saturday, on the 14 of July 2007 at ACANA and resolved the disagreement and misunderstanding that recently put us apart.
The leadership regrets any inconvenience this situation may have caused all of us , including Chairman Kalifala Turay and other Board members. This action on our part has provided us with an opportunity to further renew our commitment to working with Chairman Turay. No one would doubt the many helps Chairman Turay had extended to our administration since we assumed the leadership of LIMAP. This, we believe is due to the fact that the Board and the Executive share a common purpose and that is to work together for the betterment of our community.
In moving this unique community forward, it’s only appropriate to consider the interest of this community above all other interest. We must begin to find a common ground on which mutual respects, tolerance, peace, unity and transparency can privilege among our people and the community at large. We believe the progress of our community is not a single individual responsibility, but the responsibility of the entire community members.
We are hopeful that the chairman and members of the Board will consider this communication as our ardent desire to healing the community and would begin to fully operate as members of the Board.
Sincerely yours,
Mohammed Sekou Bility
