ULAA Boss
Inducts Liberian
Community
Association of
Connecticut
|
February 24, 2007--Since
taking office as ULAA National President, Emmanuel
S.Wettee has improved the image of the Association to
level that ULAA member chapters consider it an asset to
have the ULAA President visit their chapter.
Moreover the Embassy of
Liberia has agreed to work with ULAA on many projects.
For the first time in the history (33 years) of ULAA a
sitting Liberian President recently held a meeting with
a current ULAA leadership in Washington DC.
Over the weekend (February
24, 2007), President Wettee was the Keynote Speaker and
Installing Officer for the 2nd Installation
and Inaugural Ceremonies of the Liberian Community
Association of Connecticut.
In his keynote address the ULAA Boss asked ULAA member
chapters to identify a school in a town or village in
Liberia and help pay the salary of the teachers. The
ULAA Executive also called upon ULAA chapters to call
their respective US Senators to support Senate bill S656.
